If We All Could Read Minds

If we all could read minds
We all would be the same
I would see what you need
Would not have to explain
I would bend to the left
You would bend to the right
We'd soon blend together
Like our thoughts would unite

I love the smell of campfires
You love the color green
The memories behind that
Are there for all to see
You pick up on my feelings
I link up to your joys
It emphasizes empathy
Our tendencies enjoined

Our privacies aren't private
Our secrets displayed bare
Our inner most desires
Are there for those who care
We slowly blend together
We're mostly unaware
Until we're almost perfect
From everything we've shared

If we all could read minds
We all would be the same
I would see what you need
Would not have to explain
I would know what you want
You would feel what I see
Preempting all problems
It perfectly succeeds

I love a home that's tidy
You crave a change of scene
We feel our needs together
We never disagree
Our choices never waver
Our patterns never change
Our clothing style is equal
But no one thinks we're strange

I cringe at thoughts of spiders
You feel the reason why
You think they are the cutest
My mind accepts and tries
Memories are evident
To people passing by
So much similarities
That people just comply

If we all could read minds
We all would be the same
I would see what you need
Would not have to explain
We all know what we want
We all feel just the same
We all like the same things
Have no reason to change

With our thoughts merged together
I feel the same as you
Our memories are forever
Where no ideas are new
And nothing new emerges
I am the same as you
And no ideas are new
I am the same as you

If we all could read minds
We all would be the same
I would see what you need
Would not have to explain
We'd see the world as one
Our thoughts would never change
And no ideas are new
Nothing new obtained

And no ideas are new
I am the same as you

I am the same as you
